What are the styles of floor-to-ceiling folding drying racks?

Nowadays, there are more and more styles of drying racks. There are 4 types of racks that are folded on the floor alone, which are divided into horizontal bars, parallel bars, X-shaped and wing-shaped. They each correspond to different functions and have their own advantages and disadvantages. Have you ever understood it carefully? Let’s talk about those things about folding clothes racks!

1. The horizontal bar drying rack consists of a horizontal bar and two vertical bars, suitable for bedrooms.
The horizontal bar drying rack has a very good appearance. There are rollers underneath, which can move freely. There is only one crossbar for easy access.
The disadvantage is that the floor area at the bottom is the same as that of the parallel bars, but the number of clothes to dry on the horizontal bars is much less than that of the parallel bars. Therefore, the horizontal bars are more suitable for the bedroom as a hanger instead of a drying rack.

2. Parallel bar drying racks are made of two horizontal bars and two vertical bars, which belong to outdoor drying racks.
Its advantage is that it can be raised and lowered according to height. It is easy to disassemble and can be moved freely, and its stability is much better than that of a horizontal bar. Second in load-bearing capacity, you can dry the quilt.
However, it is difficult to fold and occupies a lot of space, so it is not suitable for indoors. If the clothes are too large, they will squeeze together on both sides after drying, causing them to not dry.

3. The X-shaped drying rack has an “X” shape as a whole, and the connection point of the two vertical bars will be fixed with a cross bar to increase stability.
It can be folded freely, which is relatively easy. Compared with the parallel bar type, it is more convenient to dry clothes. You can choose the angle of opening at will, and each position can get enough sunlight. The load-bearing capacity is the best, and it is no problem to dry large quilts.
But its stability is not good, and it collapses as soon as it encounters a strong wind.

4. Wing-shaped drying racks, presenting a butterfly style, are placed on the balcony.
The wing-shaped one is the easiest to fold, and it occupies a small area after folding, just hide it behind the door. After the wings are opened, it will not occupy much area.
It has the worst load-bearing capacity and can only dry some light items, and the balance of the crossbars on both sides must be considered.
